Week 6 Completed: EU-Ying De Joint Accelerator Programme

27 July – Week 6 of the EU-funded Accelerator Programme led by Ying De was successfully completed. In this final week of the Programme, we invited the following mentors to share their knowledge and insights related to low-carbon projects: Dr. Yuebing Lu, Chairman of the Board, Air Liquide China Holding Co. Ltd. and Vice Chairman of China Funds of Siguler Guff & Company; Ms Alex Tan, Marketing Director of CIPRUN Group; and Mr Francis Wright, Managing Director of Turquoise International.  The topics discussed in detail by the three mentors included:

• how to make the propositions more attractive to investors,
• how to support UK start-ups in the areas of intellectual property protection, funding and technology transfers
• low-carbon innovation funds.

Following the mentors’ presentations, it was the turn of each participant to introduce their companies to the group.  The companies came from a variety of sectors, including building materials, smart energy-saving platform, tech, education and so on. The mentors also provided valuable feedback and suggestions on the companies’ presentations and their questions over the topics covered on the day.
