Ying De Group has been awarded runner-up in the Business Award category of the Greater China Awards, which took place at The Lowry in Manchester on 15 February.
Organised by the Department for International Trade (DIT) North West of the UK Government, the prestigious awards “recognised North West businesses which have made a significant contribution to developing business or collaborative innovation/partnership” with Greater China. They were presented by Richard Burn, Her Majesty Trade Commissioner for China, who leads the DIT in Greater China.
As the leader in the market for introducing Chinese businesses and entrepreneurs to UK businesses, Ying De successfully fought off very tough competition to be shortlisted as a finalist. Our achievement at the awards was even more remarkable considering that this was our first-ever attempt as well.
Andy Han, CEO of Ying De Group said: “We are extremely thrilled to be named runner-up in this fantastic award. We would like to thank the DIT for recognising all the hard work that we have put in over the last twelve months, in spite of what has been a very challenging period of time. While Brexit uncertainty has initially cast doubts on the UK market and dampened the growth trend that had been gathering momentum prior to the referendum, the strong fundamentals of the UK as the world’s sixth largest economy and the favourable exchange rate played an important role in stabilising investor sentiment.
"As a result, we were pleased to see that even in these challenging times, we were able to maintain a similar level of performance in 2018 as the previous year. We look forward to continue working closely with UK companies and help them attract both funding and business skills from China.”
